About the Region

 

The Columbia River Basin area of eastern Washington State is regarded as one of the most fertile growing regions in the world. The abundant sunshine coupled with excellent soil conditions and a reliable water source produces high quality and quantity of tree fruit and row crops. The Columbia Basin is bordered by the Willamette and Skagit Valley to the west and the Snake River Valley of Idaho to the east. Together,they form the heart of the Pacific Northwest growing region. Outbound opportunities for domestic, export, frozen, nursery stock, industrial ingredients and manufactured products to the Northeast and beyond are abundant with the Railex platform.
